01 Jan. 2008 : Carroll Technology Council's New Board of Directors:
Westminster, Maryland, January 2008 - At the Carroll Technology Council's Annual Meeting, two new board members were elected, and two existing board members were re-elected to a two-year term.
Newly elected Board Members are Isabel DeFeo of IMA Web Design and Jeff Selby of Data Processing Solution. Re-elected were David Shaffer of Tier One Technology Partners and Richard Lord of Information Technology and Security Solutions.

21 Feb. 2007 : Furthering Technology Growth in Carroll County:
Westminster, Maryland, February 21, 2007 – Lighthouse Information Systems, Inc. participates with the Carroll Technology Council ( CTC ) in order to serve a growing technology community. Members of the CTC website committee have launched a re-aligned version of the council website. The CTC website offers a wide array of information for the community as well as its members.

Lighthouse Information Systems, Inc. played a significant role in the CTC website committee by providing services to upgrade the Carroll Technology Council website in order to accommodate the council's recent expansion. 18 Nov. 2006 : Keller Wins Tech Council's "Techie of the Year" Award:
Westminster, Maryland, November 18, 2006 - Carroll Technology Council held its annual "Technically Speaking" fall event Nov.
18, where Bob Keller, CompuKids Committee chairman for the Carroll Technology Council, received the Techie of the Year award. The award recognizes the member who's done the most for community and dedicated the most time and effort to the Carroll Technology Council. Keller is the owner of Keltech Computers and is a continuing education instructor at Carroll Community College in Westminster.
Also nominated for this award were Alissa Harrington, Carroll Tech Council secretary and coordinator of Computer Training in Continuing Education at Carroll Community College, and Isabel DeFeo, Web site Committee chairwoman for the council. DeFeo is the owner of IMA Web Design and IMA Marketing Company. She is also an adjunct instructor at Carroll Community College and Frederick Community College.

2005 : Quality Matters Course:
Isabel DeFeo's EN101 (English Composition) online course at Frederick Community College has been Quality Matters (QM) certified.
QM is a faculty-centered, peer review process designed to certify the quality of online courses and online components. Sponsored by MarylandOnline, Inc, Quality Matters has generated widespread interest and received national recognition for its peer-based approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement in online education. Originating from a FIPSE grant, Quality Matters is now a self-supporting organization offering institutional subscriptions and a range of fee-based services including Quality Matters-managed course reviews and an array of trainings.

Small-business talks set at community college Carroll Community College's Miller Small Business Resource Center will hold free lunchtime training sessions for small businesses the second Tuesday of this month, next month and July. Scheduled programs are: May 13, Mike Fish will present "Marketing a Small Business"; June 10, Isabel DeFeo from IMA Web Design will discuss "Web Sites for Small Business"; July 8, Dan Funderburk of Mid-Atlantic Business Finance Co. will give a talk on "Government 504 Loans for Small Business."
